Martin Stead

BExSc, GDipAppExSc, ESSAM, AEP

Martin is an integral part of the EXPHYS team as Regional Leader for Victoria and Tasmania. He holds 17 years’ experience as an Exercise Physiologist, along with his leadership expertise acquired at EXPHYS and other national health organisations. 

In his role as Regional Leader, Martin leads his team of EXPHYS consultants through strong connections and leading by example.  

Martin is also EXPHYS’ key local contact for Victorian and Tasmanian referring partners.  He fosters strong, collaborative partnerships with these customers.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Exercise Science, both obtained from Australian Catholic University, Melbourne.  Building on his 17 years of clinical experience, Martin completes regular annual professional development to keep at the forefront of healthcare.

As a Senior Exercise Physiologist at EXPHYS, Martin provides immense value to his clients, helping them achieve meaningful health, life, and work goals.  His extensive clinical background encompasses pain management, fatigue, cancer rehabilitation, mental health support, cardiovascular & respiratory rehabilitation, work conditioning and strength training.

Martin is also an approved National Panel of Assessors, pre-employment assessor and RTW consultant.  He has contributed to an innovative digital health platform and mentored many allied health professionals.

Martin coaches his son's sports activities and is passionate about his two favourite sporting teams – The Phoenix Suns in the NBA, and the Carlton Blues in the AFL.  He enjoys family life in Melbourne with his wife and son.
